My View, vol. 1: All the Birthday Cake

It’s been so long since I posted, but I had an interesting week, for once. 🙂

What I am reading: “Life of St. Teresa of Avila.” I wanted to finish it by her feast day on the 15th, but that didn’t happen. I’m also rereading “The Stand” by Stephen King. I started reading Stephen King in 5th grade (yes, I was that kid) I think my mom was kind of worried for a while, but those books are the first ones I remember staying up late to finish because I just had to know how they ended. Magic, really. It’s been about 10 years since I read this particular book and so far, it’s living up to my memories of how awesome it is/was.

What I am eating: Cake. All the birthday cake.

This week in history: I celebrated my 25th birthday on Sunday! I even got to spend the day with my family in my hometown, thanks to the kindness of a friend.

Prayers: For my little sister. For a friend’s job situation. For my job situation!

Next week I am going to: Crochet a pillow. Work on my knitting skills. Finish all my half-read books. Plan out some blog posts!

Linky love:

This virtual Carmelite choir video has already made the rounds of the internet, but Teresa of Avila is my favorite saint, her feast day was last week, and I do what I want. 🙂

But really.
